Takashi Miike Film Retrospective

Film Society of Lincoln Center

03/16/11-03/20/11
70 Lincoln Center Plaza, Lincoln Square
212-875-5600
$9-$12, Times Vary

If you have not seen any of Takashi Miike's films, do yourself a favor and buy a ticket to this "festival". The torture porn that has taken over the horror genre in Hollywood has gotten old and even more boring. If you want to experience some real thrill and horror, check out some Asian cinema (where a lot of American horror flicks have stolen their ideas). Start today with the screening of Audition. If you have a particular interest in cute, submissive-like, Asian women--it might just end after seeing this movie.

I was kind of excited about the possibility of having a black hole emerge here on earth. Unfortunately those Fox News fears did not occur and now we have the big and beautiful LHC which will start operating at full power this week. Join other nerds and listen to professor Matt Strassler from Rutgers University talk about this great scientific achievement.
